Aam Pallav (Amba Patra)

Aam Pallav or Mango leaves are highly sacred to the Hindu culture. They are usually placed on a kalash during a puja ritual which are considered the seat of Gods and Goddesses. Aam Pallav are used as a decoration and are usually seen hanging at the entrance of the house during a puja, an auspicious occasion or festivities. The leaves of Mango are believed or ward off negativity from the house and bring happiness, prosperity and health to the family. They are also considered to bring blessings of Lord Hanuman to the places and people who use Aam Pallav as an offering during puja.
