Ganesh Puja

The auspicious time of Bhadrapada Shukla Chaturthi marks the commencement of Ganesha Puja in various parts of India. This religious festival goes on for 11 days which includes daily puja and offering prasad to the deity while chanting vedic hymns and Hindu verses. The arrival of a life-like idol of Ganesha to the homes is synonyms to the believed arrival of Lord Ganesha to earth from Kailash Parvat. To commemorate the occasion, fasting, athletic events and grand puja is organized throughout the 11 days.
